At 182 East 2nd Street in New York, The Palmyra Practice has crafted a distinctive modular dresser using Smiles’ Ocean material in 12mm. The material’s deep blue hue, interspersed with subtle speckles, evokes the tranquil beauty of the sea, making it an ideal choice for interior applications. The dresser features solid maple drawers with push-to-open mechanisms and custom galvanised steel hardware, showcasing a harmonious blend of natural and recycled materials. This piece is part of a larger collection of eighteen custom-designed items, including furniture, fixtures, and artwork, predominantly handcrafted by The Palmyra Practice’s founder, Garett Nelson.
